Spinebuster PRO Sets Opening Date

The rebranded Spinebuster PRO has confirmed an opening date at The Bayou in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with owner April Monday declaring the promotion ready to make its mark on the independent scene. The weekly show Bad Juju will stream on YouTube and other platforms, bringing a stacked roster and a hard-hitting product to fans worldwide.

Baton Rouge is about to have a professional wrestling promotion worth paying attention to.

Spinebuster PRO, the rebranded successor to the long-running Spinebuster Wrestling, has officially confirmed its launch date and will debut its weekly streaming show, Bad Juju, live from The Bayou arena in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Owner April Monday, daughter of the late hardcore legend "the Raging Fear" August Monday and a decorated competitor in her own right, spoke about the rebrand and what fans can expect from the new era of the promotion.

"Spinebuster Wrestling meant a lot to a lot of people, and that history doesn't disappear," Monday said. "But this is something different. Spinebuster PRO is built for right now. The roster we have assembled, the talent, the stories we are going to tell inside The Bayou, this is not a nostalgia act. This is a new standard."

The promotion will run exclusively from The Bayou, a venue that sources close to the company describe as intimate, loud, and purpose-built for the kind of in-ring product Spinebuster PRO is promising. Bad Juju will stream weekly as a video podcast, making the Baton Rouge product accessible to a global audience from day one.

The roster assembled for the launch is notable for its depth and variety. Third-generation competitor Adam "Bloody" Monday, the owner's son, is confirmed for the roster alongside his tag partner Black Panda, the pair competing under the team name the Blood Oath.

Also confirmed are the hard-hitting Gruff Veracity, a Baton Rouge product who built his name on the underground circuit; the returning Freddy Lamb, a former prodigy attempting to reclaim a career derailed by life off the road; and R.V. Sovereign, the self-styled Architect of Next out of the Garden District, whose calculated, deliberate style has drawn significant attention ahead of his Spinebuster PRO debut. Additional roster members and championship announcements are expected in the lead-up to the first Bad Juju broadcast.

When asked whether running her own son on the roster presented any complications, Monday was characteristically direct. "Adam earns what he gets. Same as everyone else. There is no back door in this building."

The promotion has also confirmed a naming rights partnership with Swamp Water Energy, whose branding will be attached to the promotion's third championship and featured throughout Bad Juju broadcasts.

Broadcast commentary for Bad Juju will be handled by veteran wrestling personality Morton Murphy, whose long career as a booker and promotion owner lends significant credibility to the project, alongside colour commentator pain GRILLÉ, the former French-Canadian luchadore and founding member of Les Baguettes Sauvages, who joins the desk wearing his now-iconic toast-inspired leather mask.

The Bayou will open its doors May 1st with it's first show. Whether Spinebuster PRO delivers on the considerable promise of its launch is a question Bad Juju will begin answering immediately. The truth, as one member of the roster is fond of saying, will set you free.
