Femina Imperium Championship contraversy
Roxie Roche is the Femina Imperium Champion, Daisy Mae DuPris has not said a word publicly since leaving The Bayou on Friday night, and Scarlett Vice has been photographed arriving at a Baton Rouge coffee shop on Saturday morning looking entirely untroubled. April Monday has not commented. The silence from the owner's office is louder than anything anyone has said.
It has been four days since the Femina Imperium Gauntlet, and the Spinebuster PRO women's division is splitting along clear lines depending on who you ask and what you believe you saw.
Roxie Roche, reached through her management on Saturday, kept it short. "I went into that Gauntlet and I came out with the title. That is the result. I am not going to spend my first week as champion explaining it."
Multiple roster members, speaking anonymously, described the footage from the closing moments of the Gauntlet as "concerning" and "hard to explain away." One source close to the situation said Daisy Mae DuPris was seen arriving at the facility on Saturday morning, watching footage back with a trainer, and leaving without speaking to anyone on the women's roster.
Scarlett Vice posted a single photograph to her social media on Sunday. It showed her at a window table at a cafe, a cup of coffee in her hand, looking out at the street. No caption.
April Monday has made no public statement. Sources within the promotion suggest she has reviewed the footage and is deliberating. Several people within the building expect a response this week.
Whatever April Monday has seen, and whatever she decides, the Femina Imperium Championship is four days old and already sitting inside a controversy that its first champion did not create and cannot fully control. That is either the worst possible start for the division or the most compelling one, depending on your appetite for the kind of professional wrestling that does not resolve cleanly.
