Bad Juju #1 airs on YouTube
Spinebuster PRO launched its rebranded era on Friday night and within twenty minutes had produced a disqualification finish, a stolen hoodie, and a public dinner invitation. The first episode of Bad Juju had something for everyone — if everyone enjoys chaos delivered with extraordinary professionalism.
Spinebuster PRO launched its flagship weekly program Bad Juju on Friday night in front of a packed Bayou crowd, and if the first episode is any indication of where this promotion is headed, the rebranded company has something real on its hands.
Owner April Monday opened the show alongside commentators Morton Murphy and pain GRILLÉ before being interrupted by R.V. Sovereign, who wasted no time challenging the legitimacy of the promotion itself. Sovereign's central argument: that Monday's son, Adam "Bloody" Monday, would receive preferential treatment in title contention due to his mother's position as owner. Monday's response was immediate. She booked Adam against The Mammoth on the spot.
The match went the distance before Sovereign himself interfered, drawing a disqualification and costing The Mammoth a clean result. Sovereign followed the DQ by hitting Adam with his rolling elbow finisher before The Mammoth, furious at being denied, launched a post-match assault of his own. Black Panda physically inserted himself between his Blood Oath partner and the giant to end the beatdown.
In the evening's most talked-about match, Kid Koala pinned The Bullseye Kid in a fatal four-way that also included BookFace and Freddy Lamb. Koala arrived wearing TBK's stolen personal hoodie — now graffitied with a koala face — and departed with both the win and the garment still in his possession. The Bullseye Kid was inconsolable. The Mammoth and Drop Bear had to be physically separated at ringside.
In the main event, "Black Crown Riot" Charlie Williams defeated Killian Black to become the inaugural Spinebuster PRO Swamp Water Energy Champion. Williams executed the Shatter Point — a float-over crucifix driver — for the deciding fall in a technically precise and hard-hitting main event that had the Bayou on its feet.
Elvis Hunt made his backstage debut in an interview with Jarvis Jolt, expressing interest in championship gold, outstanding bar tabs, and April Monday, in roughly that order.
Results:
Adam Monday def. The Mammoth via disqualification
Kid Koala def. BookFace, Freddy Lamb and The Bullseye Kid via pinfall
Charlie Williams def. Killian Black — Swamp Water Energy Championship
